Importing projects from SAP Solution Manager
SAP Solution Manager : We have to make the necessary system settings for the Scheduling a Job scenario in the SAP Solution Manager customizing, under Configuration Scenario-Specific Settings Scheduling a Job .
You have made the necessary system settings in the SAP Solution Manager customizing, under Configuration Scenario-Specific Settings Integration of Non-SAP Products SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood .
The roles and preparations in SAP Note 1240708 have been carried out and assigned.
SAP CPS by Redwood is connected to and configured for SAP Solution Manager and target systems as an external scheduler.
You have selected the SAP CPS by Redwood scheduler under General in the job documentation.
You have entered a logical component of the target system in the job documentation under System Landscape.
Importing projects from SAP Solution Manager
Procedure
- Scheduling External Jobs
- To schedule an external job:
Step 1: Select a logical component in the job documentation, under System Landscape, select the target system, and choose Scheduling.
Step 2: Complete the mandatory fields and specify the start conditions. For more information about the required entry field Isolation Group and the authorizations required for it.These are indicated by an asterisk (*).
Step 3: Choose Schedule/Change Externally.
The system transfers the job configuration to SAP CPS by Redwood, and schedules the job.
When the job has been scheduled, you get a status message with the job number.
The system imports the remaining data from SAP CPS by Redwood.
Step 4: Save the imported data.
Depending on your authorizations, you can only schedule a job in status Paused. The administrator responsible for SAP CPS by Redwood must release this job manually.
You cannot change a job that has already been scheduled. If you change a job that has already been scheduled and then select Schedule Externally again, the system creates a new job and does not change the existing job.
Importing External Job Configurations
To import an external job configuration:
Step 1 : Select a logical component in the job documentation, under System Landscape, select the target system, and choose Scheduling.
Step 2: Choose Import.
You go to a dialog box with the import options.
Step 3: Specify the selection criteria, for example, job name, user name, or job status.
Step 4: Choose Find.
The system lists the jobs for the search criteria.
Step 5: To import the job configuration, select a job and confirm with OK.
The system imports the job configuration.
The system cannot import start conditions.
Canceling a Scheduled Job
To cancel a scheduled job:
Step 1: Select a logical component in the job documentation, under System Landscape, select the target system, and choose Scheduling.
Step 2: Choose Cancel Job.
The system cancels the job and all its subsequent jobs.
The job you want to cancel must not have started.
