1), Launched CRM Software – C/4 HANA

C/4 HANA, a newly announced product resembles Salesforce in capabilities that feature SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, SAP Customer Data Cloud, and SAP Service Cloud.

Renowned SAP Hybris is rebranded as SAP Customer Experience code-named SAP C/4HANA. Furthermore, SAP Cloud Platform was mentioned in SAP Conference 2018 as the first extension framework maintaining core free in its customizations.

The software is designed to develop trusted relationships, making it a Me2C platform.

Customers are not just records and statistics in the system. Instead, they’re people who want their data entirely protected and expect companies to walk the talk.

C/4 HANA software is all about connected experiences. Its main components include SAP Leonardo, Unified User Experience, and SAP Cloud-based Platform offering micro-service and extension frameworks.

2. Master Blueprint for End-to-End Connected Enterprise

SAP Sapphire 2018 Concert reiterated that business should operate single office units with unified networking components. This master blueprint for the end-to-end connected enterprise is set to enable companies to perform at breakneck digital speed.

Although it’s a new product, it’s a clear description of how SAP perceives data and application architectures. The underlying philosophy of reusable micro-services that has recently become pervasive across entire SAP networks is essential. The announcement comes as a breakthrough from internal productivity at SAP, engineering point of view, and ultimately from the customer’s point of view.

The new development brings SAP into a new world of distributed data; a foundation of how applications share and expose data to new capabilities is “master data as service.” In this API-based infrastructure, data is shared instead of just being exchanged.

3. SAP Leonardo

New digital innovation system from SAP delivers micro-services and software that lets customers leverage future-facing technologies like Blockchain, Internet of things, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, and Machine Learning. SAP Leonardo featured in the SAP Sapphire Now 2018 discussions due to its capabilities of harnessing the latest digital breakthroughs.

SAP Leonardo portfolio features data intelligence tools, design thinking methodologies, benchmarking, and more. The framework’s accelerator packages designed for specific industries and core functions.

4. Multi-Cloud Availability

SAP Cloud Platform offered in GCP (US), and Azure (Europe) has been available in the AWS since 2017. This announcement at the SAP Conference 2018 focuses on the provision of SAP Cloud-based Platform Private Edition planned for release in Q3 of 2018.

Consumption-Based Pricing was made available in a few countries from the start of 2018. The service provided under the new Cloud Platform Enterprise Agreement is codenamed CPEA.

Coverage has increased significantly at SAPPHIRE and is currently available in at least 35 countries. It’s worth noting that only thirty services are presently available under the new CPA. Nonetheless, the coverage is expected to achieve parity with the subscription model soon.

7. Cloud Portal

Several tools have been launched to enable migration from SAP Enterprise Portal to Cloud Portal. Primary tools mentioned in Sapphire 2018 Announcements include EP designed as a Content Provider, Content Migration Tool, and the immigration tool. Another major announcement associated with cloud portal is the provision of tight integration with success factor contents on a Fiori Launchpad on SAP cloud-based Platform.

8. Cloud Platform SDK for Android

New SDK for Android features the latest Fiori design. The operating system assists in linking correctly to an SAP backend system while concurrently generating android mobile applications quickly. SDK features in SAP’s Cloud-based Platform

Mobile service subscription. With current active mobile service customers set to gain access to the new technology starting in 2018.

9. Customer Adoption Journey

SAP has partnered with various Cloud Elements that significantly accelerate the 3rd party integration process in the customer adoption journey. The partnership succeeded with more than 150 connectors to non-SAP systems on premise and in the cloud. These connectors are utilized in API Management tools or SAP Mobile Platform integration in the cloud platform.
